It's A Blue, Blue, Blue Day As The Country Lodge, Sabbath Song Farm, Brooksville Ky Hosts The 1st Annual Blueberry Festival

Sabbath Song Farm and Brackenridge Berry Farm team up to bring the 1st Annual Blueberry Festival, June 27, 2009. Enjoy the day with Blueberries, Blue Skies and top it off with the smooth sound of the Blues and Music by the band, Sorry Charlie & Friends.

Brooksville, KY (PRWEB) June 1, 2009 -- The Country Lodge at Sabbath Song Farm and Brackenridge Berry Farm have combined their efforts to bring a day full of fun and incredible tastes at the 1st Annual Blueberry Festival. Hosted by Carolyn and Wes Boatman and Jody and Dewey Stanley, this open-to-the-public event is perfect for families, couples or a group of friends looking for something different and exciting to do.

On June 27 events will begin at 11 a.m. Blueberries ready to be picked are priced at only $4.50 per pound. Cobbler sampling of home-made Blueberry Cobbler will provide a taste of the blues, washed down with Stone Brook Winery's Blueberry Wine. A trip around the ridge, a walk or wagon ride under the Blue skies will complete an afternoon for nature lovers. Enjoy the cloggers, weavers, Square/Line Dancers, pottery makers and artists as they perform throughout the afternoon. Cost is $2 per person, kids 13 and under are free.

Food will be provided by Hope Ridge Farm Meats, Tastefully Simple and more. Special areas for picnicking will be provided. Lawn chairs or blankets are recommended to relax around the band stand for Blues and Music as done by the band, Sorry Charlie & Friends beginning at 6 p.m.

Special events include a Corn Hole tournament at 11 a.m. A petting zoo will delight the children while parents enjoy a summer's day of entertainment and relaxation.

The Country Lodge, an historic barn which as been renovated into a retreat for family and friends is located on the property belonging to Sabbath Song Farm. The Country Lodge is less than an hour's drive from Cincinnati, 30 minutes from Maysville, and 20 minutes from Augusta. The Country Lodge at Sabbath Song Farm is located at 1331 Toadvine Road, Brooksville, KY. Directions can be found on their web site. They are a proud member of Kentucky Farms are Fun.

Sabbath Song Farm is home to The Country Lodge which hosts a calendar of events throughout the summer from art classes to evening walks along the ridge.
