LearntobeHealthy.org Launches eCommerce Site Offering Educational Tools, Supplemental Materials, Apparel and More

LearntobeHealthy.org, an eLearning site created by the Susan P. Byrnes Health Education Center, has added a new online store where teachers, parents and community leaders can purchase educational kits on CD, workbooks and other supplemental materials, LearntobeHealthy apparel, accessories and more.

York, PA (PRWEB) June 3, 2009 -- LearntobeHealthy.org, an eLearning site created by the Susan P. Byrnes Health Education Center, has added a new online store where teachers, parents and community leaders can purchase educational kits on CD, workbooks and other supplemental materials, LearntobeHealthy apparel, accessories and more.

All items offered in the online store can be used alone or to supplement the free activities found on LearntobeHealthy.org. Among the currently available and "to-come" items are bulletin board kits, workbooks, charts and posters, stickers, T-Shirts, baseball caps, and other helpful educational products. These new LearntobeHealthy-branded supplies offer easy-to-use classroom learning tools, creative team-building exercises, and health education inspired prizes.

  • Nutrition & Fitness (Grades 2-12)
  • The Five Senses (Grades 1-3)
  • Tobacco & Inhalants (Grades 4 & 5)
  • Adolescence (Grades 5 & 6)
  • Dental Health (Grades 1-3)

Each CD includes:
 
  • Interactive games for students
  • Engaging supplemental materials
  • Detailed lesson plans
  • Cross-curricular activities
  • Standards-based educational tools

All proceeds from the online store will be used to support Learntobehealthy.org, enabling the site to enhance their offerings to provide even more diverse topics and dynamic activities. To view and/or order these educational resources, visitors can visit LearntobeHealthy.org/store, and make their selections using the site's secure, online ordering form. LearntobeHealthy.org was launched in early 2006 by the Susan P. Byrnes
Health Education Center, a nonprofit organization based in York, Pa. Designed to help teachers and parents communicate important health concepts to students in grades K-12, the site promotes healthy lifestyle practices through fun, interactive games and activities. The site has more than 90,000 members from more than 170 different countries. The site has also been named an "Educator's Best Bet" by USA Today. About the Susan P. Byrnes Health Education Center
The Byrnes Health Education Center offers over 40 dynamic health education programs for students of all ages. All programs are designed to instill an appreciation of the incredible human body and to motivate students to make healthy choices. The Byrnes Health Education Center, located on South George Street in York, houses five multi-media teaching theaters where interactive learning takes place.
