Children's Cancer & Blood Foundation to Host Exclusive In-Store Shopping Event at New Tory Burch Store

Tory Burch partners with Children's Cancer & Blood Foundation to raise money for pediatric cancer and blood diseases.

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 3, 2009 -- The Children's Cancer & Blood Foundation (CCBF) will be partnering with top fashion designer Tory Burch on Thursday evening, June 10, 2009 at the designer's new boutique in the Meatpacking District (38-40 Little West 12th Street) of New York City. Proceeds from this benefit will ensure that the CCBF continues its exceptional mission to provide the very best up-to-date treatments for young people, as well as engage in breakthrough research that will lead to improved care and cures.

Hostesses Gail Evertz, Lauren Feinman, and Barri Lieberman will welcome guests for cocktails and exclusive shopping. From 6-8 p.m., Tory Burch will be open to friends of CCBF. Tory Burch will donate 20% of sales from the evening to CCBF as well as offer a promotional online code for shoppers who cannot make the event so that proceeds from their sales will also benefit CCBF. Attendees will also have the chance to enter a raffle to win a fabulous Tory Burch bag.

This event continues the long-standing partnership between Tory Burch and CCBF. The partnership started in 2007 when Tory Burch donated key chains for guests at CCBF's annual Breakthrough Ball. The following year, Tory Burch provided a canvas tote to serve as the women's gift bag for the event, which was a crowd-favorite.

For 57 years, CCBF has been proud to support the extraordinary team of doctors and researchers of the Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology of New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center. CCBF's support has attracted and retained a group of world-renowned experts on the treatment of multiple pediatric blood disorders and cancers, including hemophilia, sickle-cell anemia and leukemia. Our researchers have received international recognition for their work and are on the cusp of breakthroughs predicted to change the way the medical community treats children with cancer and blood diseases. Each year, our physicians treat more than 1,000 children through more than 10,000 inpatient and outpatient visits. No child is ever turned away for services, regardless of his or her ability to pay.
