Scott Brown Brings Silicon Valley to Memphis as New RocketFuel CTO
RocketFuel, a web design and internet marketing company located in Downtown Memphis, Tennessee, would like to introduce a new Chief Technology Officer, Scott Brown.
Memphis, Tennessee (PRWEB) June 5, 2009 -- RocketFuel announced today that Scott Brown is joining the company as Chief Technology Officer. Brown most recently worked as Head of Technology for MicroPlace, Inc. (an eBay company) in San Jose, California.

Brown was previously involved in several startup projects in Memphis. He worked alongside Dr. Stan Franklin of the University of Memphis developing an intelligent software agent that incorporated research from multiple fields including cognitive psychology, AI, consciousness studies and neuroscience. He also worked in various startup companies in Memphis, including Geobot (now Metatomix) and Electracash, a Los Angeles area company whose technology division was based in Memphis. In 2006, Brown was recruited by PayPal to manage Marketplaces Systems Engineering, where his team handled production support and infrastructure improvements for all eBay-related features across the PayPal system.
Brown has a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree of Science in Computer Science from the University of Memphis with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence. He was born and raised in Memphis, and is a very active member in the technology community.

RocketFuel is a web design and internet marketing company based around its proprietary content management system. RocketFuel's services include custom website design, internet marketing with search engine optimization, Google Adwords, email marketing, social media marketing, content management, branding and print design.
