OOiZiT.com, the new music UK start-up has closed its doors following its announcement of a "six figure" investment from digital investment group Zooki Digital last week. The closure comes after months of user testing and is said to be the first step in a much anticipated product launch later this year.

OOiZiT.com is a social network dedicated to exposing new UK music artists. Users are able to create their profiles, upload their music, images and videos plus network with likeminded people in their local area. Despite being in public beta, OOiZiT.com have already had great success in helping to launch new music artists - Their first featured artist Alex Blood has recently completed a tour with JayZ and, Ex-Pat NYC based, Mark Ronson.

"It was a very hard decision as to whether to take the site down, but after hours of debate we've decided it's the best solution in the run-up to our launch later this year. Anyone who was lucky enough to gain beta access will still be able to access their account and will actually gain access to sneak previews of the new portal too, said Thomas Fearn, Director OOiZiT Plc. "Anyone wanting to be amongst the first to view the portal on launch can register their details by visiting the site. We're implementing some fantastic ideas that will be changing the face of both artist promotion and digital music distribution, so it will be very exciting to see the site live after months of planning."

Scheduled for release later this year, the new OOiZiT.com is said to be introducing a number of innovative new sales and promotional tools designed to help new music artists promote their music and events.

The site closure is a brave move for the new music start-up and will be interesting to see the impact this has on it's much talked about launch.
