Cheyenne, Wyo (PRWEB) June 8, 2009 -- Multichannel Internet and catalog retailer, Sierra Trading Post, is pleased to announce the Wild, Wild West trip, an expenses-paid vacation to one of two Wyoming cities: Cody from June 29-July 5, 2009; Cheyenne from July 19- 25, 2009.

Since the economic downturn, 48% of U.S. adults say their financial situation is worse now than it was one year ago. In 2009, more than 27% will decrease the duration of their leisure trips, at least 40% will reduce the amount of money they spend on trips and 34% will "staycation" at home. (Harris Interactive, April 2009)

"Households are being affected by the economy in many different ways; vacation plans are being scaled back or eliminated completely," said Mark Dobrowolski, Director of Retail Operations for Sierra Trading Post. "This is our way of rewarding our customers for their support over the years while introducing them to our legendary western culture."

Sierra Trading Post will provide one winner and up to three guests with a vacation to one of two Wyoming destinations: Cheyenne or Cody. The Cheyenne vacation includes an all-inclusive seven-day trip to Cheyenne Frontier Days, the largest outdoor rodeo and most prestigious country music festival in the U.S. Winners will receive tickets to nightly country music concerts such as Taylor Swift and Kenny Chesney, as well as a genuine western ranch stay, rodeo tickets and a historic trolley tour.

The Cody vacation winner and up to three guests will receive a full-year pass to virtually all destinations in the U.S. National Park System, including nearby Yellowstone National Park. On their seven-day vacation, the Cody winner and guests will enjoy whitewater rafting, a guided tour of Yellowstone, a rodeo, and museum and mustang tours. Each trip includes airfare for up to four people and a $250 Sierra Trading Post gift card.

Cutoff date for trip registration is June 13, 2009.
