Career Step has partnered with Piedmont Community College to offer training to individuals interested in pursing careers in medical transcription and medical coding and billing.

Piedmont Community College has received many student requests over the years for online medical coding and medical transcription curricula and was particularly aware of North Carolina's shortage of certified coders. These concerns led the school's continuing education department to partner with Career Step.

Piedmont Community College will be holding two Open House information sessions on Tuesday, June 9 at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Business Development Center at 105 N. Main St. in Roxboro. These sessions will provide more information on the advantages of training through Piedmont Community College's Career Step offerings and the attractive career opportunities in the fields of medical coding and billing and medical transcription.
