msgpush.com Announces Beta Release

iPhone Users Benefit from Push Email Notification

Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) June 8, 2009 -- iPhone users can finally get real-time notification of new emails sent to their IMAP accounts (e.g. Gmail; AOL) thanks to msgpush.com, an easy-to-use solution launching in beta today. The company is releasing a limited number of accounts, available at www.msgpush.com, to coincide with the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference 2009.

Unlike existing paid services that require additional email accounts or self-constructed, cumbersome work-arounds, msgpush.com requires no changes to the user's current email accounts or domain settings, no hacks to the iPhone OS and no installation of new applications. msgpush.com users simply visit www.msgpush.com to register, enter the user name and password to the email account for which they would like to receive instant notification, and then configure their iPhone to connect with msgpush.com.

When a msgpush.com user receives an email, the service instantly pushes a notification to the user's iPhone. The iPhone's Mail icon ticks up indicating that a new message has been received, and the user can then open and work with their e-mail as they have always have done. This efficient push-based process takes just a few seconds, versus standard 15, 30 or 60 minute time delays associated with pull-based technology.

msgpush.com users benefit from:

  • Business as usual - no change to existing email accounts on the iPhone.
  • Ease of use - no operational learning curve; once configured, it just works.
  • Simplicity - no additional email accounts to manage.
  • Professionalism - receive and reply from your existing email account, no forwarding, "send as" or "on behalf of" issues.

"As avid iPhone and Gmail users, we realized that there had to be a more streamlined way to receive new email notification," said Michael Reid, Co-Founder, msgpush.com. "We set out to develop a solution that utilizes sophisticated technologies to provide what, in the end, is a simple service."

iPhone users can visit www.msgpush.com to sign-up for the limited beta trial of this value-added service.

About msgpush.com
msgpush.com (www.msgpush.com), currently in beta, provides iPhone users with real-time email notification of new messages into IMAP accounts. msgpush.com was founded on the premise that iPhone users should be able to use their preferred email accounts without sacrificing professionalism, ease-of-use or timeliness. Co-founders Michael Reid and Gene Goykhman, both System Design Engineers that met at the University of Waterloo, are reformed Blackberry users that recognized the value in the intersection of the real-time email notifications they had grown so dependent on, and the iPhone universe in which they now live and love. Leveraging the Amazon EC2 cloud computing platform, they designed msgpush.com with simplicity and usefulness in mind. See for yourself at www.msgpush.com.
