Hotels Slash Rates to Help Vacationers Looking for Deals

As summer vacation time approaches for the majority of families, the economy will leave people searching for affordable options.

Lake Havasu City businesses are offering outstanding deals and promotions to make a vacation in the region’s only lakefront community an affordable option. “Travelodge Lake Havasu is offering steep discounts off of our rack rates, as we know people still want to travel, but are looking for the best way to do that while staying within tighter budgets,” said JC Stone, General Manager of the hotel. “Lake Havasu City is a favorite destination for so many, and we hope that by offering these discounts, people will not have to forgo their annual trips,” he said.

Travelodge is currently offering guests two ways to save. They can book their trip at least 14 days in advance and save 20 percent. Travelers planning last minute getaways can still save, as the hotel is also offering 15 percent off for guests staying for two or more nights. Both deals can be booked at http://www.travelodge.com.

The Nautical, Arizona’s only all beachfront resort, just unveiled a new incentive that they are excited about. A suite on the water will run only $200. In addition to that, guests will receive a $200 credit each day they stay, good for the Turtle Grill and all day use at the water park. To book a room, call The Nautical at (928) 855-2141.

The local Hampton Inn is offering discounts as well. “We understand the position the economy has placed people in. They want to travel, but they’re not sure they can afford it. We’re here to make sure they can,” said Diane Harry, Director of Sales for the local Hampton Inn. They are offering $15 off of their rack rates on any room, anytime. “That does include weekends, holidays and special events,” added Harry. The Quality Inn, located moments away from downtown, the London Bridge and about five minutes from launch facilities, is offering guests the chance to stay longer for less. Guests who stay two nights can get the third night for half, giving families the perfect chance to make their own long weekend. The Quality Inn can be reached at (928) 855-1111.

The Days Inn is already gearing up Independence Day. They’re offering a special for the holiday weekend where guests can stay for 3 nights for $89.99, a savings of $40 for the single night rate.

In addition to the holiday special, the Days Inn is offering a Stay and Ski package. Guests can book a room and two hours of jet ski rental for only $99 per night. Both deals can be booked by calling (928) 855-7841 or emailing kgallo@daysinnlakehavasu.com.

Vacation rentals are even lowering their prices. VRBO Rentals has a trio of offerings. Guests who stay three nights for a weekend will get the fourth night half off. Staying for a full week gets an even bigger discount, as a six night stay will be rewarded with the seventh night free.

Additionally, guests can qualify for gas cards. A three to six night stay will earn the visitor a $25 gas card for each day rented. A full week will earn the guest a $200 gas card, letting guests save even more money fueling the boat for some lake fun. Condos will also come with lower prices this summer, as many owners are cutting rates. “I’ve lowered my rates by nearly 20 percent,” said Carolyn Bruce, owner of Xanadu Vacation Condos. “These are prices that are 2002 levels, and they will last throughout the summer,” she said.

Gas prices are also cheaper this year, in some cases as much as $1 a gallon less than the same time period last year. Retail prices have gone down, as well as meal prices. All of these combine to make now the perfect time to get away and save some money while doing so.
