In 2005, Gripsors debuted and quickly found a niche in the medical instrument market with its unique multifunction capabilities. More than simple medical bandage scissors, Gripsors have now moved to include industries outside the medical field as well. The company is debuting a new model and establishing a new informational blog.

In 2005, she started Gripsors LLC, a company that specializes in making gripping scissors that can help to change IV fluids among other things.

Looking to expand the use of Gripsors nationwide or even worldwide, Zelinko launched www.Gripsors.com in 2006 to make her scissors more widely available. Soon users and friends began reporting Gripsors features could be used for other purposes in culinary arts, construction, and sporting industries as well as in related medical fields like veterinary medicine.
Zelinko is also releasing a new 8-inch Gripsors scissor model with a hook this year, featuring larger finger loops, and the HOOK feature that serves as an oxygen key and will pry open vials with metal rings like saline, Mucomyst, and glass style vials.
In addition to expanding her product line and design, Zelinko has also launched a new educational blog: www.TheGrippingScissors.com.
"The blog will discuss many uses of practitioner scissors like Gripsors," she said. "These discussions can help users understand how versatile these scissors can be and assist them in taking advantage of all of the features. It will also provide a place for users to share new uses they discover with everyone."
As Gripsors sails into its fourth year of operation, Zelinko's design has moved far beyond its original intent and has now expanded to include other industries in which they will serve even more uses. As the website and the new blog show, the numerous benefits of Gripsors will no doubt keep these scissors a cut above the rest.
