ISIS Hospitality begins renovations of historic Hotel Alex Johnson and announces expansion plans for WaTiki Indoor Water Park Resort. Family-owned ISIS Hospitality has enjoyed continued growth in 2009 despite the severe national recession and remain bullish on local economic trends for the foreseeable future.
Rapid City, SD (PRWEB) June 12, 2009 -- ISIS Hospitality has begun renovations of The Hotel Alex Johnson, completing a prototypical guest room and corridor. Plans for the renovation are finalized and the materials to begin executing the project are currently being ordered. The original large storefront windows at street level will be restored this summer, providing a more inviting ambiance in the new restaurant, AJ's Bistro. The complete renovation of the hotel guest rooms, corridors, lobby, restaurant and Paddy O'Neill's Pub will be completed by June 1, 2010. The scope of this multi-million dollar renovation will position the property as the finest hotel in the state while offering moderate, competitive rates.
New Guest Room at The Hotel Alex Johnson
ISIS Hospitality has secured a franchise agreement for a new SpringHill Suites by Marriott. This new 150 room, upscale, all suite property will be constructed adjacent to the Fairfield Inn & Suites at the WaTiki Indoor Water Park Resort. At the same location, a state-of-the-art 12,000 square foot conference center, featuring sophisticated video conferencing capability will be built with easy indoor access from all three hotels at WaTiki. Additionally, the water park itself will undergo a major expansion more than doubling its current size. A million dollar FlowRider artificial wave surfer will be installed, a 10,000 square foot outdoor resort pool with swim-up bar will be added and several extreme slides will round out this expansion. The WaTiki expansion will commence in the spring of 2010.
