Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) June 13, 2009

Fancifull Baskets of Hollywood has been having great success with their non - pretentious wine tastings held in their shop on Melrose Ave. They became such a happening that they decided to open their doors, and shelves, to non profit groups that need a place to hold an event. Their fun filled evenings have raised money for such services as a woodworking program for inner city children, The Hollywood Farmer's Kitchen, a local Community Charter School, a Literacy Network, and more.

"I was feeling frustrated at my lack of time to lend a hand to some community programs," explains Terry August owner of Fancifull Baskets, "then one day I was reading an article about a non profit group that I knew well, we had a wine tasting coming up and I realized I could make it a fundraiser for them and help them out." August and staff enjoyed themselves so much Fancifull has made fundraiser a big part of their agenda.

The group holding the event figures out what they want to charge and handles the promotion while August and crew plan which wines and cheese to pair up. Because most non profits are under manned, they often have a hard time getting their promotional materials together. No worries, Fancifull comes to the rescue here as well. They have designed emails for the groups and have put together a promotional checklist to help draw people to the party. They have even organized a flyer hand out for one group. The more people, the more money raised, which is good for everyone. Fancifull charges a small fee to cover the cost of employees and some of the food, and often donates a percentage of sales the night of the party to the non profit. The situation works out as a win win for all parties involved

In addition to wine tastings which often feature a cheese buffet, charcuterie, olives, chocolate and more from the Fancifull larder, Fancifull has also held single origin chocolate tastings, and bow and basket making classes. They even had a masseuse at one recent event. It was a huge hit. Says August, "I come from a big Italian family so I love to feed people and this gives me the opportunity to meet new and interesting people as well as help a worthy cause."

Their next fund raiser is June 13th 6pm-9 pm for the Community Charter School and they will be having a general open house/tasting on Friday June 19th from 6-9 pm. All interested parties can come to the June 19th event to see what Fancifull has to offer.
