Mobuilder.com: Online Bidding System for Construction Materials

Mobuilder.com launched an online marketplace to connect contractors and building material suppliers today. The site is a competitive bidding system for all building materials from green products to equipment leasing.

Building professionals can now request multiple bids on their supplies and materials through Mobuilder.com. Mobuilder is an free marketplace where building professionals submit their bid requests, enabling them to procure hard to find items and secure the best possible prices on materials.

With the number of new housing starts at lows not seen since 1991, builders and suppliers are looking for new ways to save every penny. Mobuilder introduces a whole new market place allowing builders to obtain multiple quotes from suppliers throughout their area.

Co-founded by Hank Nix and Wade Sonenberg, Mobuilder is set to launch in June of 2009.

Not only is Mobuilder providing a service to contractors and suppliers, they are also giving back to the community. With every supplier that subscribes, Mobuilder will donate $2 per month to the Habitat for Humanity.

"As a contractor, I'm always looking for ways to cut my material costs, and hate spending hours searching for suppliers of specialty items. Mobuilder will help me save on costs, and even has a section for Eco-friendly materials," said Daniel Macris founder of GreenWave Solutions.

The bidding system allows building professionals to request quotes from multiple suppliers in over sixty categories. They can specify material details including quantity, specifications, set their bid deadline, and even upload plans and documents for free. The bid requests are then sent to participating suppliers in real time.
