NanoAmp Solutions, Inc., a pioneer in low power CMOS radio frequency (RF) solutions, announced today that its NX3111 RF transceiver is now ready for volume production.
Targeting GSM850/EGSM900 and DCS1800/PCS1900 GSM/GPRS mobile voice and data applications, the NX3111 integrates a CMOS Class 12 GSM/GPRS transceiver with a DigRF interface to enable a flexible mobile platform solution with any DigRF compliant baseband. The platform solution offers a simple DigRF control solution with extremely low power consumption and low noise figure (2.5 dB typical) for excellent sensitivity on the quad band receiver.
With the end-customer in mind, NanoAmp recognizes the advantages of integrating our transceivers directly into handset reference designs and has worked closely with cellular baseband partners to develop proven and faster time-to-market mobile platform solutions while maintaining our signature significant savings in power consumption, cost, and size.
About the NX3111:
The NX3111 is a single-chip CMOS quad-band RF transceiver offering GSM/GPRS capability with a DigRF interface. The NX3111 expands on NanoAmp's existing NX3110 analog GSM/GPRS product. Featuring an Ultra-Low-Power (ULP) down-converter, the NX3111 delivers receive current of 75mA which significantly extends battery life and increases talk-time by more than 10 percent in GSM mode. The NX3111 is available in a space saving, cost effective 6mm x 6mm QFN ROHS-compliant TQFN package.
