Live Music and Mountaineering Guest Speakers Highlight ISIS Warehouse Sale in San Francisco
Three-Day Event to Take Place June 26-28 at Fort Mason Center Herbst Pavilion
Burlington, VT (PRWEB) June 13, 2009 -- Today, ISIS, maker of women's outdoor clothing, announced a line-up that goes well beyond unsurpassed bargains at its first-ever Warehouse Sale in San Francisco.
The action gets underway on Friday night when The Hot Club of Marin, a gypsy jazz trio, performs live from 5 to 8pm. Well-known in the Bay Area, The Hot Club of Marin is dedicated to the music of Django Reinhardt and Quintet of the Hot Club of France. During the free performance, Bandit Wines will be sampling some of their favorite selections for guests to enjoy.
On Saturday at 3pm, Arlene Blum will be on-hand for the signing of her most recent book, "Breaking Trail: A Climbing Life". Blum has played a groundbreaking role in women's mountaineering and best known for leading the first American, and all women, ascent of Annapurna I, considered one of the world's most dangerous and difficult mountains.
On Sunday, 1pm ISIS welcomes a special guest speaker from the Breast Cancer Fund's "10th Climb Against the Odds". The Breast Cancer Fund is a nonprofit organization dedicated to identifying and eliminating the environmental causes of breast cancer. Our speaker will be a member of the team of 29 breast cancer survivors and individuals touched by the disease who will climb Mt. Shasta just days prior. In taking this journey, they will also raise over $500,000 for the BCF mission.
The ISIS Warehouse Sale hours are Friday from 12-8pm, Saturday from 10-6pm, and Sunday from 10-4pm. Shoppers can expect savings up to 70% on ISIS spring and fall samples, overstock and closeout items. Accessible by municipal transit lines, the Herbst Pavilion entrance is at the intersection of Marina Boulevard and Buchanan Street.
