Henley-Putnam University Attends Tenth Annual Women in Federal Law Enforcement Conference

WIFLE Members Offered Opportunities for Advancement in Strategic Security Fields

Tucson, AZ (PRWEB) June 15, 2009 -- Henley-Putnam University, the only accredited online institution specializing in the field of Strategic Security, will attend the Women in Federal Law Enforcement (WIFLE) Tenth Annual Leadership Training Conference this week from June 16-18 at The Westin La Paloma in Tucson, Arizona. During the three-day conference, Henley-Putnam University representatives will be on-site to answer questions from prospective students about degree programs and careers in the field of Strategic Security.

"Henley-Putnam supports WIFLE in its goal of gender equality and we are committed to increasing career opportunities for women in the military, law enforcement, and intelligence communities," said Michael Corcoran, PhD, Henley-Putnam University president and former U.S. Secret Service agent. "We are pleased to share our programs with WIFLE members who want to develop the skills and expertise needed to gain leadership roles in the field of Strategic Security."

Strategic Security is a multidisciplinary approach to understanding security at the local, national, and global level that combines best practices from the fields of Intelligence Management, Terrorism and Counterterrorism Studies, and Protection Management. A degree in Strategic Security will prepare students for high-level managerial and leadership positions in government agencies, the private defense sector, nonprofits, think tanks, the military, and the protection/security field.

Henley-Putnam is a leading accredited 100% online university offering degree programs and certificates in Intelligence Management, Terrorism and Counterterrorism Studies, and the Management of Personal Protection. Additionally, the university also offers a doctorate degree in Strategic Security.

"With an ever-changing international landscape, higher education is more important than ever to prepare a strong, diverse and intelligent group of leaders to secure our nation in the 21st century," said Col. Constance Taylor, Henley-Putnam public relations officer and WIFLE Member.

WIFLE attendees interested in learning about Henley-Putnam degree programs should stop at their booth in the exhibitor's area to speak with university representatives.
