The award winning watercolorist Katherine Petitti Kornel will be the featured artist at the Atelier, when it presents, "Organic Impressions," her most recent work. The exhibition opens on Thursday, June 18 with a reception from 7-10PM at The Atelier's gallery space in Manhattan at 635 W 42nd Street, with cocktails, hors d'ouevres, and live jazz music. Her work will be on display through October 18.

Her first solo show in New York City, Ms. Petitti Kornel expands her public works, which have primarily been in watercolor, and takes on oil and mixed media. In addition to her much-admired Paris paintings, she will show compositions that are abstract and organic in feeling, working with recycled objects often discarded.

New York art lovers most recently saw Ms. Petitti Kornel's work as one of the featured artists -- alongside Martha Stewart, Robert Kennedy, Jr., Stanley Tucci, Glenn Close and others -- for Celebrity Dogs Unleashed, a benefit for Green Chimneys and displayed at the Jumeirah Essex House, Time Warner Building, and Columbus Day Parade. She was also the featured artist for a recent benefit for Copland House at Le Bernardin in New York that honored acclaimed art lecturer and historian Rosamond Bernier.

With a background in advertising and over 12 years of experience in international business development in the fragrance and cosmetic industry, utilizing her fluent French and Spanish, Katherine Petitti Kornel's passion for art took over and she began work with Parsons School of Design Professor, Alan Reingold and watercolorist Linda Perlmutter of Odyssey Art Group. She attended The Art Students League of New York.

The Atelier has become a space for prominent artists to display their work. For more information please see ktgdesignstudio.com
