Innova is a comprehensive document automation platform with a SQL-based data repository and drag & drop GUI development environment. This newest release provides numerous fixes and enhancements to the 5.8.x product line.
Highlights of the Innova 5.8.x product line include:
| | - Office 2007. Innova 5.8 introduced Office 2007 certification.

| | - Windows Vista. Innova 5.8 introduced Windows Vista certification.

| | - Upgrade Utility. The Upgrade Utility provides an upgrade path for all versions of Innova 5.1 and above and all versions of MacroSuite 2.81 and above. The database is backwards compatible with earlier versions, allowing organizations to stagger their desktop rollouts. In other words, an Innova database which has been upgraded to version 5.8.2 can be used with any Innova client running Innova 5.1.3 and above.

| | - Mobile Mode. Innova 5.8 introduced a new, enhanced version of Mobile Mode which supports a local database in either SQL or Access format. Not only will the mobile user have access to 100% of Innova's functionality while disconnected from the network, but will also have access to 100% of his/her contacts as well (for example, Outlook private, shared, and public folder contacts).

| | - Redesigned Numbering GUI. Numbering in Word 2007 has been redesigned as a Task Pane using the latest Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO) technology. The Task Pane allows Numbering to be readily available when editing documents. It is docked at the bottom of the screen for easy access and maximum visibility.

| | - Setup/Configuration Improvements. As of version 5.8 DSNs are no longer needed on the client workstations in order to connect to the Innova database. Additionally, the setup of .Net Config files has been simplified. These improvements make it easier to set up, install, and manage Innova.
