The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. Project 802 (IEEE 802) has signed a master service agreement with VeriLAN Event Services. Inc. (VeriLAN) to provide comprehensive network services for all currently scheduled international and domestic IEEE 802 Plenary sessions through November 2011. VeriLAN has also been selected to provide network services for at least ten IEEE 802 Working Group Interim sessions during this same period.

The IEEE-802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee develops Local Area Network (LAN) and Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) standards, mainly for the lowest 2 layers of the ISO Reference Model for Open Systems Interconnection (OSI). IEEE- 802 works under the direction of the IEEE Standards Association and coordinates with other national and international standards groups in the creation of international standards with some IEEE- 802 standards now published by ISO as international standards.
