Raynaud's Association Approves Unique Hand Warming Product

HeatBands, a New York based company has recently began offering a beneficial hand warming wrist band which is gaining attention from the national Raynaud's Association.

Holtsville, NY (PRWEB) June 18, 2009 --HeatBands, a New York based company has recently began offering a beneficial hand warming wrist band which is gaining attention from the national Raynauds Association. The HeatBands, which utilize the body's natural heat to improve circulation for those who suffer from cold hands due to poor circulation resulting from conditions such as Raynauds, Scleroderma, Arthritis and smoking. Many people who experience cold hands or numbness in their hands also experience discomfort and discoloration. HeatBands is a unique product that utilizes the bodies heat to keep the blood circulating through the wrists warmer, which increases blood flow and decreases discomfort. Not only can HeatBands be worn by those who have medical conditions, HeatBands can also be used to help those who need the ability to keep their hands warm when wearing gloves isn't an option or isn't sufficient. Because winter driving or outdoor work may not always allow for glove use and hands can become cold and tired, HeatBands ensures that hands will stay warmer in these conditions. LeeAnne Davis purchased HeatBands for her 10-year-old daughter who suffers from Scleroderma and Raynauds. HeatBands recently received a note from Ms. Davis regarding her daughters' experience. Ms. Davis made the following statement about HeatBands, "I want to thank you for this great product. I ordered the HeatBands hoping they would help her. I cannot believe the difference, she wears them everyday, her hands are staying warm, and are a normal color rather the purple like they use to be. I have told many people about HeatBands and have even talked about them on the Scleroderma support site. Thank you again for this wonderful product and making my daughters condition a little more tolerable." According to Christopher Etts, founder of Vantage Medical, "Most products are either cumbersome or uncomfortable, such as gloves and mittens or difficult to apply like chemical pads or inconvenient such as requiring warming by a microwave. HeatBands UK has been working for the past 10 years to develop a range of products designed to prevent the onset of hypothermia and to help maintain thermo-regulation in the hands. HeatBands was approached by a physician who was in search of a product that would help her Raynauds patients decrease the discomfort and pain in their hands while allowing them to avoid wearing gloves or chemical based products. They decided that if they used a material that not only prevented heat loss but also radiated heat back to the user whilst absorbing moisture it could raise the temperature of that area which would assist blood flow and circulation. HeatBands has been proven to be effective for Raynauds sufferers as well as those who suffer from poor circulation in their hands due to any other condition"

Although originally designed for Raynauds sufferers, HeatBands are effective when worn by sportsmen and women and those engaged in outdoor activities.
