Branson Shows Provide Up Close and Personal Experience
Branson Tourism Center poll shows Branson stars personally meet and greet fans
(Vocus/PRWEB ) June 18, 2009 -- The Branson show tradition of its stars and entertainers meeting and greeting their audiences is alive and well. The results of a recent informal poll conducted by Branson Tourism Center, one of Branson’s largest providers of Branson travel services, indicates that the majority of Branson shows provide an opportunity for their audiences to have an up close and personal experience with their stars for “meet and greet” sessions, autographs and pictures.
Unlike the shows in a lot of other areas of the country, Branson shows have been providing an up close and personal entertainment experience for their audiences ever since Branson’s first two shows, the “Baldknobbers Jamboree” and “Presleys’ Country Jubilee,” started entertaining audiences decades ago. Steve Presley of Presleys’ Country Jubilee said meeting and greeting audiences at intermission and after the show is all a part of developing a relationship with the audience and giving them a positive and memorable entertainment experience.
Legendary performing artist, Bill Medley, currently appearing in the “Righteous Brothers’ Bill Medley with Paul Revere and the Raiders Show” at the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre, said they love entertaining in Branson because they get to have a real connection with the audience. Medley encourages their audience to participate in the meet and greet after the show saying, “We want to make sure our fans walk away with a memory they will pass down to many generations.”
Long time Branson performer Jim Barber, of the Hamner Barber Variety Show, said their show is designed to engage the audience in a very personal way throughout the production. He went on to say, “Meeting our guests personally after the show completes that interaction, allowing us to get to know them as well.” Recording artist and actress Debby Boone, who will be doing a new show at the Oak Ridge Boys Theatre during Branson’s Ozark Mountain Christmas, said she enjoys the Branson tradition of meet and greet saying, “If you don’t connect with your audience, then the relationship doesn’t have anywhere to go.”
Melody Byrd, Group Sales & Marketing Manager for the Legends in Concert Show, said, “It is all about our customer” and developing a one on one relationship with them. She said, “We have a passion for making sure our customer has a great entertainment experience and that includes autographs, pictures, and conversation with ‘our stars.’” She continued, “They love visiting with the customers and the customers love it too! It’s the Branson way.”
Lianne Milton, the co-owner of Branson Tourism Center, pointed out that the poll was conducted as part of BTC’s ongoing process of providing value added customer service to their clients. She said, “BTC sells more tickets to Branson shows than anyone else and does it one ticket at a time by providing superior customer service and establishing a personal relationship with our clients.” She said the results of the poll will be used to assist Branson Tourism Center customers who want information on shows offering the meet and greet experience.
