PlatformOne Named To Workforce Management HOT LIST for the Third Year -- Only Six End-to-End Mid-Market HR Outsourcing Providers Make the 2009 List

In its special report entitled 2009 End-to-End MidMarket HR Outsourcing Providers, Workforce Management ranked PlatformOne among six top national HRO providers, based on the number of client companies using its end-to-end HRO solution. Workforce Management’s definition of end-to-end HRO requires the vendor to provide most or all HR functions for their client. The report states that “Multiprocess HR outsourcing – when more than one task is outsourced –- leads to savings of 15 to 40 percent.”

On the HOT LIST, PlatformOne disclosed by name more of their key clients than any of the other nationally known vendors, which speaks to its reputation as the best services provider in the mid-market. The announcement came on the heels of the annual Black Book of Outsourcing assessment of the entire outsourcing marketplace, in which PlatformOne was named the BEST HRO provider to the mid-market for the third year in a row. Over 120 mid-market vendors were evaluated in that study. The Black Book of Outsourcing is published annually and analyzes over 1000 vendors in 87 distinct outsourcing categories. Specifically to the mid-market, The Black Book on Outsourcing evaluated over 120 vendors using 18 different performance criteria in its research findings on HR outsourcing providers. Most importantly, the study validated over 24,000 respondents representing nearly 900 HRO clients of mid-market size (3,000 to 15,000 employees).
These users evaluated providers independently through the study’s web survey instrument between March and June 2008. Additionally, hundreds of interviews were conducted with clients from each of the over 120 vendors throughout 2008 and used as a key determinate for the final rankings. The final analysis of the surveys and interviews was completed in December 2008.
In its analyst reports, The Black Book of Outsourcing rated PlatformOne as the top performer in 10 of the 18 criteria, and one of the top three performers in 16 of the 18 criteria, among the 120 vendors reviewed and named in the report. PlatformOne received a rating of “overwhelming satisfaction” from its customers in all 18 categories of the study.
Workforce Management did not release the detailed findings or evaluation criteria for its HOT LIST. Instead, WFM focused on the trends in the mid-market. The report repeated predictions made by the analysis firm NelsonHall that “Midmarket spending on HR outsourcing should climb from $20.9 billion last year to 22.1 billion this year and $29.6 billion in 2013.”
