EYE WEEKLY launches first Toronto-based mobile product to combine the city's movie, music, and club listings with original content.

Developed in partnership with MyThum Interactive, the seamless mobile experience merges EYE WEEKLY reviews and selected content with its powerful listings database, enabling users get the best of the city when they're on the go.

"As the first Canadian print publication to go online fourteen years ago, we're again on the forefront of responding to the needs of our audience by delivering EYE WEEKLY content when, where, and how they want it." says Leslie Andrachuck, Online Director. "With local content leading the mobile arena, it's a natural evolution that EYE WEEKLY invests in delivering its content to a mobile audience. In fact, virtually 100% of our readers are active mobile users, with more than 25% owning either an iPhone or Blackberry alone, according to a recent reader survey.

In addition to providing Toronto movie, music and club listings on the mobile site, each day EYE WEEKLY staff selects its must-see/must-do events with its T.O. In addition to the mobile site, which is free to readers (standard carrier text and data rates apply), users can choose to get the latest EYE WEEKLY headlines on their mobile device via Twitter, Facebook, or Viigo, a popular mobile content and services platform for smartphones.

"We're proud to have been selected by EYE WEEKLY to create their mobile site," says MyThum Interactive President & CEO Michael Carter, "This is the first truly Toronto-focused service we've developed and we're excited to continue to work with EYE WEEKLY to launch new mobile marketing and communications programs to reach its readership."
