Intertek Introduces New ETL Listed Alarm System Certification Program
Central Station and Alarm Service Companies now have a choice in certification and product selection

For the first time, central stations and alarm service companies have a choice in who provides their alarm system certification.
ETL Listed Alarm System Certification Program provides alarm service companies, and central station owners and operators greater options and therefore potential savings in equipment and components. Alarm service companies can now expand the selection of products they install in their facilities, as long as the product has been tested and certified by an OSHA-recognized "Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory" (NRTL) such as Intertek.

The ETL Alarm System Certification Program assures Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), such as fire inspectors and insurance underwriters, that the alarm system has been properly installed, is being maintained, and is subjected to annual third-party surveillance by an NRTL. This ensures full compliance with all federal, national and local standards and codes.
