I am honored that out of the thousands of entries the award competition receives internationally, Just Perfect was selected as one of the best

Just Perfect: More Adventures of Jules the Lighthouse Dog has been selected for recognition as a Finalist in the 2009 Next Generation Indie Book Awards. The Indie Book Awards recognize and honor the most exceptional independently published books in 60 different categories, for the year, and is presented by Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group (http://www.IBPPG.com) in cooperation with Marilyn Allen of Allen O'Shea Literary Agency.
Written by Chesapeake, VA author P.T. Custard and illustrated by Montana artist Ana Greer, Just Perfect tells the story of Jules, a dog who believes he is just perfect in every way until one day a trip to the dog park leaves Jules questioning what it means to be perfect. Jules, and the reader, learn a gentle lesson in accepting differences in themselves and others.
Just Perfect revisits the Jules character first introduced in the popular book, Jules the Lighthouse Dog, which was inspired by the author's time living at the Pt. Loma Lighthouse in San Diego with her family dog Jules. The house they lived in was known as the Top Gun house having been used in the film of the same name. Jules gained a following as the official greeter of the many fans who would wander onto the grounds and into the house.
The author was thrilled to hear of the award recognition. "I am honored that out of the thousands of entries the award competition receives internationally, Just Perfect was selected as one of the best" says P.T. Custard.
Just Perfect is published by Black Plume Books and is available through their website http://www.blackplumebooks.com and is also available through Amazon.com or your local bookstore.
