Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) June 24, 2009 -- Arbita, a provider of recruitment marketing technology and media planning services, recently attended, presented, sponsored and exhibited at Kennedy Information's Recruiting 2009 Conference and Expo. The Recruiting and Conference Expo is Kennedy's "networking event of the year." This year, a cadre of industry leaders helped participants explore topics in sourcing top talent, qualifying the best candidates and hiring for the long term through a series of seminars and intensive workshops.

Several seminars and workshops were lead by executives from Arbita. CEO and Founder Don Ramer delivered a presentation about "Recruiting as if People Mattered." Arbita Consulting and Education Services (ACES) veteran, Shally Steckerl provided an intensive workshop about "Fast and Free Sourcing Techniques." An intensive workshop was also hosted by The Future of Talent, an organization underwritten by Arbita and headed by Arbita advisory board members Susan Burns and Kevin Wheeler.

Mr. Ramer is an outspoken advocate for simple courtesy in the recruiting process. Mr. Steckerl, Arbita's Executive Vice President, led a session entitled "Speedy Sourcing Techniques for Free Candidates on Social Networks."    Mr. Steckerl provided participants with easy ways to quickly find free candidates on social networks such as using highly accurate search techniques with search engines, maximizing time spent on LinkedIn, leveraging the growing popularity of Facebook and Twitter, learning to use social networking platforms like Ning, and how to approach candidates.

Mr. Steckerl also hosted an intensive workshop entitled "Shrink Your Budget with Fast and Free Sourcing Techniques." During the workshop, he introduced participants to myriad free sources for finding candidates on the Internet and building an online reputation.

Susan Burns and Kevin Wheeler, executive director and founder respectively of The Future of Talent, lead an intensive workshop on "Adaptive Talent Strategies: Building Organizational Staffing Excellence for Today and the Future." The Future of Talent is underwritten by Arbita and both Mr. Wheeler and Ms. Burns serve on Arbita's advisory board.
