OESIS OK Interoperability Certification Program Expands to Three Levels, Continues to Gain Momentum
Growing program includes more than 150 endpoint security applications, while new free utility detects installed security applications' interoperability level
San Francisco, Calif. (PRWEB) June 25, 2009 -- OPSWAT, Inc., the leading provider of development tools that power software application manageability, today announced three distinct levels of its OESIS OK Interoperability Certification Program to verify that specific security applications operate with network devices. This latest program expansion comes as OESIS OK has certified applications from more than two dozen vendors to date including Computer Associates, AT&T, Juniper Networks, Kaspersky and Webroot, and has received more than 150 endpoint security applications for certification.
By offering three levels of OESIS OK certification including Gold Certified, Certified and Identified, users will be able to better determine their security application's compatibility level with third-party devices. In order for a security application to become OESIS OK certified at any level, it must satisfy a specific set of criteria that includes an installation test, a rogue application test and more. A complete list of testing criteria for each of the three levels is available at http://www.oesisok.com/criteria.html.
To assist developers in determining their own potential certification level for specific applications prior to submitting them for certification, OPSWAT created "Am I OESIS OK?," a free utility (currently in beta) that instantly detects a security application's interoperability level with third-party products.
OPSWAT, Inc. is also pleased to announce it has hired Jeremy Sheldon as the OESIS OK Program Manager. Prior to joining OPSWAT, Inc. Sheldon served as an Account and Project Manager for Digital Pond, providing marketing materials and graphics to several major corporations.
"Our recent hire of a Program Manager and the expansion of the program demonstrate OPSWAT's commitment to the OESIS OK Program," said Benny Czarny, President and CEO of OPSWAT, Inc. "Jeremy's experience and relationships in the industry will complement our current capabilities and, by virtue of our hiring of a dedicated manager, will be of tremendous value to our partners."
"OPSWAT is a trusted name in the software development space and I am looking forward to overseeing the growth of the OESIS OK Certification Program and contributing to its overall success," said Jeremy Sheldon, OESIS OK program manager.
