Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) June 25, 2009 -- DirectEmployers Association Direct Employers, a nonprofit consortium of leading U.S. corporations such as GE, Apple, and Xerox, announced today that it is partnering with TweetMyJOBS, the largest Twitter job board in the world, to offer SMART Tweet™ for free to its nearly 500 member companies. SMART Tweet is the most cost effective and powerful way to leverage social media and Twitter for recruiting purposes. SMART stands for Social Media Applicant Recruitment Tool.

This will begin a DirectEmployers' SMART Tweet pilot which will help member organizations better understand social media's recruiting value. During this timeframe premium upgrades such as TweetMyJOBS' TweetMark™ and increased targeting of job seekers will also be available to DirectEmployers membership at a discounted rate. DirectEmployers' clients currently have hundreds of thousands of open positions in almost every industry and job sector.
