Weight Loss Supplement Site Celebrates One Year Anniversary; Launches Blog
For a year, WeightLossXpress.net has been one of the most successful independent weight loss web ventures on the internet. To celebrate its one year anniversary, the site is debuting a new blog and working on additional herbal weight loss products.
(PRWEB) June 26, 2009 -- Back in June 2008, entrepreneur Elizabeth Luann Akers and her husband, Kevin, launched www.WeightLossXpress.net, a website that specializes in Lita' Extra Strength Herbal Diet Pills, an herbal formula that Akers created herself, that has actual results, unlike lesser, all-frills weight loss products.
"I had family members who had taken some herbal weight loss supplements I wondered what was in them," began Akers. "I started to do research and realized that they had some pretty serious chemicals in them.
"My husband and I decided to provide an alternative - all herbal weight loss supplement," she continued.
Also unlike her competitors, Akers' supplement is manufactured in the United States, ensuring that there's a source for work for Americans, rather than outsource the manufacturing of her products. They believe that even a small business can make a difference.
"I sought out a US-based company," she said. "I want to make sure that the Lita' formula won't have any questionable material in it and is made according to USA Standards."
This month, Weight Loss Xpress is celebrating its one year anniversary and the Akers have some plans for their web venture.
"We're working with some American companies to develop another variation of the Lita' diet pill formula," Akers explained. "I was really excited that Lita' Extra Strength has been working for both men and women alike and they're getting excited about it."
Akers said that a majority of her sales are from word-of-mouth; she's expanding upon this concept with the launch of her new blog, www.weightlossxpressblog.com.
"I'm very interested in nutrition and a bulk of what we'll be addressing in the blog will center on combining nutrition and activities," she said. "If you look at the children today, they're suffering from an overweight epidemic due to fast food meals and a lack of physical exercise, I hope to address this issue on the blog as well."
As the site continues on in its first complete year, it grows exponentially daily and Akers sees her success based on people becoming more educated on the chemically laden supplements that have long been of the norm.
"Most of the working products that have chemicals have also been pulled off the market, but having something herbal and natural will be safer for people," she said.
