Doing More With Less: Case Studies on Resourcing for Growth When Cash is Tight

CTO's Invited to Join Dinner and Roundtable July 21 in San Jose. Dave McClure leads a panel followed by dinner to explore software development strategies in the current economic climate.

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) June 25, 2009 -- How are Bay Area IT companies developing their new products when revenues are flat, credit is tight and capital is shy? On July 21, Dave McClure (of Startonomics fame) will ask panelists from three companies to kick off a discussion about Doing More With Less. McClure, who has just completed his "Geeks on a Plane" tour of Tokyo, Beijing and Shanghai, says, "The Bay Area connection to Asia - as a market, as a resource base, and as a destination and source for capital - somehow plays into this recession, and the way out of it."

McClure will lead panelists Elliott Ng (Founder and VP Marketing of Uptake); Stan Kwong, (former head of worldwide developer marketing for IBM); and VP from developer community oDesk. Dinner will follow the panel discussion. Each table has a moderator - top executives from Google, Adobe, Institute for the Future, and The China Business Network - to keep conversations going among executives who attend the event. Details and registration, limited to 48, are at http://morewithless.eventbrite.com.

The roundtable dinner will be hosted by Symbio, an advanced software and engineering company with research and implementation centers in Greater China and Northern Europe. Randy Lee, General Manager for Symbio , says, "Since 1994, we have been in the business of product co-creation. Silicon Valley is where most of the world's great applications are conceived. I want to invite Valley executives to consider that China-based resources can accelerate time to market, minimize cost, and open up Asian markets for their products."

Registration begins 6:00 PM at the Sainte Claire Hotel, San Jose. Tickets are $90 is advance, $100 at the door.
