Carlsbad, CA (PRWEB) June 26, 2009 -- Chuao Chocolatier unveils its new Panko Chocolate Bar at the 55th Summer Fancy Food Show in New York. The Panko bar, made with a Venezuelan dark chocolate blend, roasted panko breadcrumbs and sea salt is a modern take on classic bread and chocolate combinations like paIn au chocolat and the American favorite, chocolate covered pretzel.
"The Panko bar was ultimately inspired by one of my favorite childhood foods in Venezuela, the chocolate panini. We would slice a baguette in half, stick a chocolate bar inside and put it in the Panini press," says Chef Michael Antonorsi, Master Chocolatier and the Company's co-founder. "That sweet memory inspired our Pan Con Chocolate bonbon, which has become one of the best selling confections in our chocolate cafes. Today, it has evolved into a "third generation," the chocolate bar. The Panko bar is the perfect comfort food," says Antonorsi.
"My mission as a Chocolatier is to arouse your senses with every bite," says Antonorsi. "The Panko chocolate bar captivates taste buds with the contrasting textures of silky dark chocolate, crunchy Toasted panko breadcrumbs and sprinkles of sea salt, but the flavors are magically harmonious," he says. "This is a chocolate bar that you will buy with the intention of sharing, but after one taste, secretly desire to keep to yourself."
The Panko chocolate bar is 80 Grams with an SRP of $5.99. Beginning in Fall 2009, the Panko chocolate bar can be purchased at Chuao Chocolatier cafes, online at www.chuaochocolatier.com and at retailers nationwide.
