Growing Audience for Online Radio Show "Why Not Talk Cruise with Ken Muskat" Extends Series and Brings New Topics

Online radio show can now be followed on itunes, Twitter, and Facebook.

Miami, FL (Vocus/PRWEB ) June 27, 2009 -- With 11 episodes already under its belt, the Why Not Talk Cruise with Ken Muskat online radio show has achieved one of the highest listenerships on the VoiceAmerica online radio network. The show averages approximately 18,600 listeners weekly - live, archived and itunes - with more and more listeners tuning in every week. In fact, Muskat's May 29th show, entitled Kids and Cruises, Yay or Nay, drew a show record of 22,300 listeners. The series has quickly become the fastest growing show on the network this year, and has been so successful that Why Not Talk Cruise has been extended from its original 13 episodes to now 23.

Why Not Talk Cruise with Ken Muskat "airs" every Friday at 2 p.m. Eastern Time/11 a.m. Pacific Time until September 11 at www.RoyalCaribbean.com/WhyNotTalkCruise. Listeners can submit questions and comments to Why Not Talk Cruise radio at whynottalkcruise@rccl.com or can call in during the live show at 1-866-472-5788. They also can follow the show on Twitter, @WhyNotTalkRadio, and join the Why Not Talk Cruise group on Facebook. Listeners who missed the live show can listen to the archives on the Why Not Talk Cruise webpage or download podcasts for free from itunes.

Shows vary weekly and have included topics such as Vacations Rewards for Corporate America, which discussed the reasons why businesses should plan their corporate meetings at sea; and Captain's Log: Running a Global Cruise Company, where listeners heard from business leaders about what it takes to run one of the largest cruise lines in the world. Each show features special guests, which have included Adam Goldstein, Royal Caribbean International president and CEO; Lorraine Robertson, author and featured guest in The Travel Channel's "Great Cruises: Why Not The Mediterranean?"; Roger Dow, U.S. Travel Association president and CEO; Dori Berinstein, three-time Tony Award-winning producer, and director and writer of film and television.

Upcoming Why Not Talk Cruise topics will feature All Aboard a Maritime Marvel on June 26; Cruising in a Digital Age on July 10; Sail Green on July 17; Accessible Seas on July 24; and Explore the Far Reaches of the World on August 28. In addition to unique weekly topics, the show features special giveaways including free cruises, gift cards, and even 20 lbs of free lobster!
   
The call-in radio show began airing every Friday since April 10 and offers vacationers insight into Royal Caribbean's Nation of Why Not; its guests and crew, known as "citizens"; and the world of cruising with help from travel and cruising experts and media guests. The Nation of Why Not is Royal Caribbean's current marketing campaign, which highlights the cruise line's spirit of providing experiences undreamed of on other vacations and delivering innovative activities that challenge guests' imagination.

Ken Muskat has dedicated the past 15 years of his professional career to Royal Caribbean International and is currently the vice president of Sales. Muskat oversees Royal Caribbean's Field Sales, Corporate Incentive and Charter Sales as well as the brand's Special Events and Sales and Marketing Service teams. In 2001, and again in 2003, Muskat was named one of Travel Agent Magazine's Top 100 Rising Stars of the Travel Industry and has been recognized for a number of other achievements throughout his tenure at Royal Caribbean. Muskat also serves on the Board of Directors for the Children's Cancer Caring Center.
