Vanguard Networks Announces Worldwide Availability of Applications Ware 7.2

Vanguard Networks today announced the worldwide general availability (GA) of Applications Ware Release 7.2 for its complete line of products. Products supported with Release 7.2 include the 3400 Series and 6800 Series Access Gateways and the 7300 Series Multi-service Access Concentrator.

Registered resellers and customers with active support contracts can download the software from the Vanguard Networks Partner Extranet. In addition, depending on the platform to be upgraded, the software upgrade lists starting at $250 for non-contracted customers who intend to upgrade their installed base of Vanguard products.

The release of this software also coincides with initial wins for the Vanguard's new 3480 Access Services Gateway, announced earlier this year. Vanguard Networks has successfully begun shipments of the 3480 ASG to customers worldwide including large financial services institutions in Asia and Latin America, and a power utility in North America.

The 3480 ASG (Access Services Gateway) is the latest addition to its 3400 Series enterprise-class gateways for voice and data services. The new platform comes with numerous new capabilities as part of Applications Ware 7.2, and is designed to bring the widest combination of IP, TDM and analog voice and data access services to multi-site branch locations. Robust firewall and DMZ capabilities coupled with up to five routable Ethernet WAN interfaces make the 3480 an attractive choice for secure IP-based, low cost, business quality voice and data access at SMBs and multi-site branch enterprises. The 3480 ASG is available immediately and lists for $1795.
