To respond to increased demand for the deployment and operation of indoor and outdoor distributed antenna system (DAS) wireless networks, ExteNet Systems, Inc., has announced the hiring of six new employees. This is in addition to the recently announced acquisition of Illinois-based i5 Wireless, which augments the indoor distributed antenna system (DAS) wireless technologies and services already offered by ExteNet Systems.
The new employees include:
Mike Coffey, Vice President of Program Management. With more than 25 years of engineering and program management experience in the telecommunications industry, Mike Coffey is responsible for coordinating the company's network deployment program. He joins ExteNet Systems from Sprint Nextel, where he served in executive capacities in engineering, program management and product development. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia, a Masters in Business Administration from Lynchburg College, and is a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Mike Alt, Director RF Engineering. With more than 15 years of engineering expertise in the wireless telecommunications industry, Mike Alt is responsible for the company's engineering teams in the Central and West regions of the United States. His deep experience in wireless technologies includes more than 13 years at Sprint/Nextel as well as work with Ball Aerospace and GTE Mobilnet. Mike earned his undergraduate degree at Purdue University, and his Master of Science in Information and Communication Sciences at Ball State University.
Lindsay Bertolino, Director Contract Administration and Compliance. With nearly a decade of experience as a legal assistant and contract administrator, Lindsay Bertolino joins ExteNet Systems after working in contract management and senior paralegal positions with General Growth Properties, Inc., Errand Solutions, and Computer Associates. Lindsay's work in the company's legal group will include compliance and enforcement of customer, supplier, contractor, utility and municipal contracts.
Marlon DePaz, RF Engineering Manager East Region. A former radio frequency engineer at T-Mobile USA and Nextel, Marlon DePaz is responsible for project management as well as engineering design, optimization and network performance for ExteNet Systems out of Rhode Island. He has worked on the integration and deployment of wireless networks - including distributed antenna systems - across the Northeast including Boston, Hartford, Providence and Nantucket. Mr. DePaz earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.
Bill Severino, Assistant Controller. A graduate of DePaul University with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Bill Severino joins ExteNet Systems after more than 15 years of corporate accounting experience. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1998 and has Sarbanes-Oxley audit experience. As Assistant Controller he will be focusing on financial reporting, policies and procedures. His previous employment has been in electronics, manufacturing and aerial reconnaissance - for companies with annual revenues ranging from $150 million to $1 billion.
Russell Vest, Senior Director Business Development for In-Building Services. With more than 30 years of experience in the wireless and telecommunications industry, Russell Vest is responsible for business development policies, objectives and key initiatives related to in-building antenna system networks. His focus will include expansion of existing and new vertical markets (e.g. health care), analyzing and developing business opportunities, contract negotiations and cultivating customer relationships. Russell earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University.
