Phoenix based company, For The Earth Corporation, extends their condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of Billy Mays.
The late Billy Mays was used as the pitchman for For The Earth's flagship product, What Odor?. His signature style, launched What Odor? into new heights. "He really helped put our small company on the map," says Nelson Grist, President and CEO of For The Earth Corporation. "He took our product and turned my 6 year plan into a 6 month plan." Mays also landed What Odor? a coveted spot on Pitchmen, the Discovery Channel reality program in which ordinary people presented Billy Mays and Anthony Sullivan with extraordinary products and ideas. The show offered viewers the chance to see what goes into developing innovative products and the trials and tribulations that come with the journey. Viewers were also able to see a lighter side of Billy Mays, one that you don't see in his iconic infomercials. "In the short time I got to know Billy, I saw the man he really was, I was privileged to say I worked with him. He was a very smart and talented man, but more importantly an honest and caring man. He was the kind of guy you wanted to conduct business with. Billy Mays believed in every single product he endorsed and was passionate about everything he did," Nelson recalls.
