Positron Telecommunication Systems, a leader in sophisticated VoIP equipment for enterprise communication, announces their reseller agreement with Telephony Depot a North American premier retailer in the industry's online marketplace.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for Positron Telecom," explains Richard McGravie, President of Positron Telecom. "This alliance provides us with an online presence that leverages the growing popularity of VoIP and telephony hardware, and the software and services known to interoperate with Asterisk, the Open Source PBX."

The Asterisk/VoIP market is rapidly growing and further increasing the demand for simplified, easy-to-install solutions. This trend is driven by companies who are required to lower their costs while increasing the functionality of their voice systems.

"We carry a wide range of products that are compatible with Asterisk," said Paul Horos, Product Manager of Telephony Depot. "In this case, Positron's product is an Asterisk PBX on-a-card, which installs in a server as easily as an Ethernet card. We are truly excited to introduce this innovative product to our customers."

Many of today's telephony solutions were architected over five years ago and struggle to blend within the IP world. Positron Telecom breaks down that barrier. Traditional telephony PBX boards only provide the telephony interface, which have complicated drivers that can have operating system issues and require a complex installation process that is prone to fail. The Positron Telecom solution integrates the PBX, incorporates telephony and IP ports and installs as an Ethernet adapter, which makes it operating system independent thus requiring no additional drivers.

"The distribution of Positron Telecom's products by Telephony Depot allows us to provide superior solutions for both business and personal needs within the North American market," said McGravie.

About Telephony Depot:
Telephony Depot was launched in the summer of 2006 as an operating division of iFAX Solutions. To cater to the growing popularity of VoIP and telephony hardware, and the software and services known to interoperate with Asterisk, the Depot was a logical expansion of the enterprise fax solutions provided by iFax. Telephony Depot is recognized as a premier retailer in the industry's online marketplace, providing superior solutions for both business and personal needs, due in part to their pairing with only the finest manufacturers.
