Hurley Write, Inc., a company that specializes in designing and teaching customized online and onsite writing courses, was recently named, by Business Leader magazine, as one of the Top 100 Small Businesses in NC.
Wilmington, NC (Vocus/PRWEB ) July 1, 2009 --North Carolina-based Hurley Write, Inc., a company that specializes in designing and teaching customized online and onsite writing courses, was recently named, by Business Leader magazine, as one of the Top 100 Small Businesses in NC. Over 250 businesses in NC applied for the award. The award was based on company revenue growth, notable achievements over the past five years, and community service. Says Pam Hurley, PhD, founder and president of Hurley Write, Inc., "We pleased and excited to have been chosen. It's really quite an honor, especially considering the number of terrific small companies that are based, and do business, in North Carolina." The awards ceremony, held June 17, 2009, in Raleigh, NC, honored each company that won with a plaque. Hurley says that such recognition for small companies is beneficial: "Too often, small companies are overlooked in terms of what they contribute to their local economy in terms of revenue, jobs, and service. This award recognizes the huge contributions that small businesses make in so many different facets of the community and economy."
