Cablevision Systems Corp. (NYSE: CVC) today announced that Optimum Business has unveiled an online portal for the Optimum Business Partner Program to simplify the sales process and customer management process for sales generated outside its direct sales team. The Optimum Business Partner Program includes third-party resellers who represent telecommunications and I.T. product solutions as well as other integrators. The new portal provides an online destination where Optimum Business value-added resellers are able to create and generate letters of authorization online, place orders, schedule implementations and track information.

"Optimum Business is committed to its value-added resellers' success, valuing the technical knowledge, expertise and relationships they have with customers throughout the New York Metropolitan Area," said Joseph Varello, Cablevision's vice president of small and medium business services. "We offer premium voice, data and video communication service solutions for home-based, small and mid-sized businesses throughout the channel and maintaining a protected and effective flow of information with our authorized resellers regarding the latest in product features, functionality and pricing is critical. We have created the portal to ensure that our resellers have the tools, technology and extensive support needed to stay competitive in the market."

The portal is the latest tool to be rolled out to this important channel. Last month, at Optimum Business's first annual Business Summit, Optimum Business announced the availability of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Trunking, designed to deliver a premium enterprise quality, voice experience to small businesses for exclusive distribution through this channel. The Summit provided the more than 150 attendees with an overview of the latest in product offers, new advancements and operational support available to the reseller Channel and showcased demonstrations of integrated telephony offers available from Cisco and Microsoft utilizing Optimum Voice SIP Trunking service.

The Optimum Business Partner Program ensures I have the dedicated support needed from sales, tech support, order entry, provisioning and customer service."

Key features of the Optimum Business Reseller Portal include:

  •     Simplifying the Ordering Process - Authorized resellers can now use the portal to submit orders. Portal orders can be submitted 24 x 7.
  •     Use of eLOA for Customers - Authorized resellers can use the portal to send an electronic Letter of Authorization (eLOA) to their customer to obtain permission to port telephone numbers. When the customer completes the eLOA the portal will be updated, and no paper eLOA needs to be obtained and sent to Cablevision to complete the order.
  •     Automatic Order Tracking - Orders submitted through the portal will be automatically updated with installation time and date allowing partners to advise their customers or schedule resources as necessary. Order tracking will also indicate if an installation has been completed or rescheduled.
  •     Access to Existing Customer Service Records - As part of the order submission process authorized resellers can obtain a Customer Service Record (CSR), with permission from the customer, when available from a customer's current carrier to verify account information once an eLOA has been submitted.

Designed for small and medium or home-based sized businesses that require high-speed Internet and voice communications, Optimum Business provides bottom line benefits like predictable flat rate pricing and highly reliable voice and data services.
