Oakland's Trez Rek 500 Announce Their Debut Album, Outside the Lines

The newest rock band to emerge from the East Bay, Trez Rek 500, releases its debut album.

Oakland, Calif. (PRWEB) July 7, 2009 -- High profile veterans of the adult alternative pop/rock scene, Tony Morosini and Carv Tefft have joined forces to create this full length, all original 10 song CD. Traces of grunge, punk, classic rock and pop are easily identified in this impressive debut from Trez Rek 500, yet they manage to own a truly original sound. Lead singer Carv Tefft's trademark "kick down the door" dynamics may have softened up a bit, but his distinctive tone and song interpretation are the glue which holds this offering appealingly together. The yeoman's effort award goes to Tony Morosini, who plays the drums, guitar, bass, and yes, even surprises us with some gritty vocals.

Critics have described the sound as, "Imagine if Ian Astbury from the Cult, or Freddy Mercury from Queen played in REM". The album is classic rock with a certain alternative edge. Prior to Trez Rek 500, Carv Tefft has performed on numerous albums, and Tony Morosini has performed live with the likes of Dave Grohl, Kip Winger and blues legend Bob Margolin.
