BigHand Chosen as Preferred Supplier of Digital Dictation at Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh NHS Foundation Trust

London, UK (PRWEB) July 8, 2009 -- BigHand has today announced that it has been selected by Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh NHS Foundation Trust as their preferred supplier of digital dictation technology. After a successful pilot and subsequent public tender process, the Trust will now roll out BigHand software trust-wide to over 400 users across 4 sites with the intention of improving document turnaround times, reducing administrative costs and providing an easy to use interface for staff involved in the dictation and transcription process.
Digital dictation facilitates the instant submission of dictations containing crucial patient data, coupled with report tracking and turnaround alerts, and enhanced sound quality. These factors eliminate the administrative delays caused by analogue tape equipment and supports Trusts in meeting key national health targets.
