A toll-free number says you care about your customer and can provide insight for tracking campaigns and calls
Bethpage, NY (PRWEB) July 8, 2009
Cablevision Systems Corp. (NYSE: CVC) today announced that it is now offering small and medium business customers the option to purchase a toll-free number with its award-winning Optimum Voice digital phone service. Toll-free numbers can be critically important to businesses of all sizes helping to build a more established and customer friendly image in a highly competitive market. Optimum Voice can provide a new toll-free number or port a customer's existing number. Vanity numbers can be ported in addition to area codes 800, 888, 877 and 866.
"A toll-free number is an important customer enhancement for businesses conveying a more professional, established image in the market place," said Joseph Varello, Cablevision's Vice President of Optimum Voice and Small Business product management. "Expanding beyond local telephone numbers, toll-free numbers project a presence that reaches beyond the boundary of their local area code. Now businesses can tap into the value of Optimum Voice for all of their voice needs and have all services in one easy to read monthly bill without having to change or lose their existing toll-free number. With Optimum Voice, customers do not have to change their phone number and Optimum Business can port it over quickly."
Toll-free numbers are used in many different ways and are not limited to just multi-location businesses or businesses that sell outside of the New York Metropolitan area. Typically, small local businesses want to use their toll-free number for simplicity and branding. Among the most common uses are advertising, website and catalog driven phone orders, direct mail campaigns as well as customer service.
"A toll-free number says you care about your customer and can provide insight for tracking campaigns and calls," said David Friedlander, president and CEO of Freeport, New York based Vitamin Power Incorporated. "In addition to driving communication with our customers, we now have the same great value we have come to expect from Optimum with one easy to read bill."
Customers can easily manage their toll-free number through the Optimum Voice web portal. Features include the ability to change the toll-free point to number to any Optimum Voice number on their account and access to call detail records that capture essential information like calling party number, location, date and time. This information can be used to evaluate the company's marketing campaigns and effectiveness in generating sales and is kept online for three months and is downloadable, which enables the customer to build a powerful marketing database for future efforts.
The toll-free service was designed to fit the needs of Optimum Business's small business customers and is offered exclusively to Optimum Voice business subscribers. The price is $9.95 for every bucket of 250 minutes per monthly billing cycle, representing up to 30% savings over the phone company for most customers. The calling areas are the same as Optimum Voice, including the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada. As part of the toll-free service, Optimum Business offers an optional listing in the 411 directory assistance and the local printed white page directory for an additional monthly charge.
Designed for small and medium or home-based sized business that require high-speed Internet and voice communications, Optimum Business provides bottom line benefits like predictable flat rate pricing and highly reliable voice and data services. The Optimum Business offering includes Optimum Online and Optimum Voice, for $29.95 per month each the first year when combined for new customers. For customers with four to 24 lines, each additional Optimum Voice line is available for $29.95 per line. Optimum Online Boost with Static IP is available for an additional $24.95 per month.
