DiscountElectronics.com Opens Retail Outlet in Round Rock, Texas

DiscountElectronics.com, one of America's leading providers of refurbished Dell computer equipment, announced the purchase of a building located at 1001 S IH35, Round Rock, Texas 78664 on approximately 1.6 acres.

Austin, Texas (PRWEB) July 9, 2009 -- Today DiscountElectronics.com opened its third retail location. This is the second store opened this year and the first in Round Rock, Texas.

This is the first of the smaller, more convenient, stores the company has planned. This Discount Electronics has all of the merchandise found at the larger locations but in a footprint half the size. "This makes it easier for our customers to get in, get what they need and get out." said the company's CEO, Rick Culleton. "Our goal is to make theses store very convenient and very discount." All parking spaces are within 50 feet of the main entrance. That combined with the easy highway access does make this quite a convenient computer store.

All stores have the same extended hours and are open 7 days a week. "We, as consumers, tend to think there is a premium that needs to be paid for convenience. That is not the case at Discount Electronics." said Culleton. This store, although smaller, had stacks of the company's now famous $79 computers.

In June of this year DiscountElectronics.com purchased 1.6 acres in Round Rock at 1001 S IH35. The building and land were financed by BBVA Compass. This is the second location BBVA Compass has financed for DiscountElectronics.com this year. The company wastes no time in opening these locations. According to Williamson County Appraisal District, the property closed on June 17th 2009. The store opened just 19 days later.

If there is an economic downturn to be found in Austin, it's not visible from here. Discount Electronics' revenue has doubled in the past 24 months and shows no sign of slowing down according to the company's own numbers. Along with the three retail stores, they operate the website DiscountElectronics.com which sells Dell replacement parts.

DiscountElectronics.com is a privately held company with headquarters in Austin, Texas. They have been on the Inc 5000 list of fastest growing private companies in America for the past two years and were added to Austin Business Journal's 'Fast 50' in 2008.
