Vehiclepath Customer Helps Police Recover Stolen Vehicle, Break Up Large Theft Ring

Raven Mechanical, a Houston-based construction contractor and customer of GPS fleet tracking provider Vehiclepath, helped police break up a large theft ring after a stolen service vehicle and its contents were located via GPS.

San Diego (PRWEB) July 9, 2009 -- Raven Mechanical, a Houston-based construction contractor and customer of GPS fleet tracking provider Vehiclepath, helped police break up a large theft ring after a stolen service vehicle and its contents were located via GPS.

"The service vehicle was stolen over a weekend, so I logged in to Vehiclepath online and quickly located it in a remote area," said Raven Mechanical controller Scott Hubert. "I also was able to see the location where thieves had stopped the vehicle for three hours to unload our equipment.

"I turned the location information over to the police and they were able to break up a large theft ring. Had it not been for the Vehiclepath GPS fleet tracking system, we might not have retrieved the vehicle for several weeks, if at all," Hubert said.

"Vehiclepath receives stories like Raven Mechanical's every week from customers who rely on Vehiclepath's GPS fleet tracking services to optimize their businesses," said Mark Wells, President of Vehiclepath.

"From stolen vehicle recovery to lowering fuel consumption to reducing overtime and eliminating unauthorized vehicle use, companies like Raven Mechanical trust Vehiclepath to provide the peace of mind that their vehicles are protected around the clock with GPS fleet tracking," Wells said.
