Yet in times like these people are often asked to do more work and the stress level in the workplace is often higher. The need for interpersonal effectiveness skills may be greater than ever. TRACOM is pleased to provide organizations with SOCIAL STYLE training materials at no cost.

In today's down economy, many organizations have made cuts to their training and development programs. While such cuts may help short-term financial figures, they undermine long-term organizational performance. A new initiative from TRACOM allows organizations to provide the world's best-known interpersonal skills training program to employees at no cost.

TRACOM's "Keep Business Training" program is an opportunity for organizations to build a stronger workforce through training for when the economy eventually improves. The program will provide complimentary SOCIAL STYLE training materials to a minimum of 100 organizations that complete an application by Sep. 1, 2009, which can be accessed at http://www.tracomcorp.com/keeptraining.

"TRACOM recognizes that it's hard for companies to implement training initiatives during these difficult economic times," said David Collins, TRACOM vice president for Training Products. "Yet in times like these people are often asked to do more work and the stress level in the workplace is often higher. The need for interpersonal effectiveness skills may be greater than ever. TRACOM is pleased to provide organizations with SOCIAL STYLE training materials at no cost."

TRACOM'S SOCIAL STYLE is the world's best-known model for improving interpersonal skills to create more effective working environments for organizations. It enables companies to increase management effectiveness, improve productivity and benefit from diversity.

Research has show that interpersonal skills are an important element of overall success comparable to intelligence, previous work experience and personality. One study found that managers with high SOCIAL STYLE skills were 27 percent better at leading teams and had 19 percent better overall performance. Other research shows SOCIAL STYLE improves sales results, coaching and individual effectiveness.

The "Keep Business Training" program will provide SOCIAL STYLE training materials to a minimum of 100 organizations that complete the application by Sep. 1, 2009. Qualified organizations with a minimum of 500 employees will receive Performance Training Awards, which include SOCIAL STYLE Self-perception Profiles, classroom participant guides, electronic facilitator materials and facilitator training for TRACOM SOCIAL STYLE courses. The value of each award ranges from $1,000 - $5,000, depending on the number of employees trained.

TRACOM's Self-perception Profiles offer a quick, easy introduction to self-awareness and understanding styles of human behavior. It leads people on a path for improving workplace interpersonal skills based on ratings and recommended ways to interact with others.

Additionally, TRACOM will award two Premium Training Awards, which include TRACOM's Multi-rater SOCIAL STYLE Profile and training courses for up to 100 employees. The multi-rater profile not only enables the measurement of a person's own view of his or her interpersonal skills, it also provides insight about other people's perceptions and offers a full picture of a person's working style and relationships. Each Premium award is valued at $20,000 and will be distributed based on the business need of applying organizations.

All applicants will complete a short survey focusing on the impact of the downturn on training programs and spending. TRACOM will compile the surveys and provide a detailed look at how the economy is affecting business training. The results will be published in September 2009.

To participate in the survey and be eligible to receive the complimentary training product, visit http://www.tracomcorp.com/keeptraining.
