I think that the way in which Delamina presents jewelry is very interesting
Menlo Park, Calif. (PRWEB) July 8, 2009
Delamina, the new fine jewelry site that speaks directly to women and provides them with a place to explore their own unique style in a fun and relaxed environment, is now showcasing the authentic and distinctive designs of Ian Saude.
"I think that the way in which Delamina presents jewelry is very interesting," stated Saude. "The whole idea of a woman having to wait around for someone else to buy her a piece of jewelry or for a special holiday or occasion is just totally outdated. I really appreciate how Delamina encourages women to live and express themselves on their own terms."
Passionate about Tibetan Buddhist philosophy, Ian moved to Katmandu, Nepal in the early 1990s, where he lived and studied with several of its greatest living masters. While in Katmandu, Ian began learning about the art of jewelry making from local craftsmen, many of whom still relied on ancient tools and techniques that had not changed much since the middle ages. It was this experience that served as the inspiration for his first collection, and continues to have a heavy influence on his designs.
"My ideal customer is someone who views jewelry as an outlet for creativity and as a way to present her individual style and commentary of her values to the world," stated Saude. "She is a woman who thinks for herself, and creates an image around art and culture. She has a meaningful intellectual or spiritual connection to a specific piece, and does not just wear it because it's trendy."
Delamina features an initial set of 20 jewelry designers with approximately one-thousand pieces ranging in price from $200 to $300,000. They are currently actively seeking hot new designers who meet the highest quality standards.
Ian Suade is based in San Louis Obispo, CA. To learn more about him and to see his designs, go to: http://www.delamina.com/designers/Ian-Saude/index.html
