Unbelievable Abstract Photography

A brush stroke or spatter of paint has an energy rarely duplicated in photography. Photographs have sharp boundaries rarely found in painting. The merging of the two breeds beautiful results. I started experimenting with the combination to capture color, but many other benefits soon became clear. I love the immediate composition in the viewfinder, the depth and focus of the paint, and the impact that lighting brings to photography. The paint's beauty is a combination of translucent color and silky texture frozen in time. Mixed with photography, the result is a lucid but surreal image.
