Centrelink Goes Live with Funnelback AgencySearch

The Centrelink website search is now being powered by Funnelback.

Canberra, ACT (PRWEB) July 9, 2009 -- The Centrelink website search is now being powered by Funnelback.

Funnelback's Executive Diretor, Mr. Stuart Beil says 'Funnelback's high quality search ranking technology and the ease of being able to test and transition to Funnelback greatly assisted Centrelink in making their decision."

Centrelink are using Funnelback through the successful Whole of Government AgencySearch program sponsored by the Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO) within the Commonwealth Department of Finance and Deregulation.

"Funnelback AgencySearch has been an extremely successful program ever since its inception in early 2007. Centrelink, along with more than 40 other Commonwealth Agencies are now using AgencySearch. Query volume and usage of the AgencySearch service is increasing steadily and this represents great value for AGIMO, individual Agencies and their customers", said Mr. Beil.

Funnelback is the search provider for the Australian Government's online entry point www.australia.gov.au. As part of this agreement, all Australian Commonwealth Government Agencies have the option to use Funnelback to power search on their external websites.

Centrelink is one of the Australian Government's largest service delivery agencies with 26,167 staff, a turnover of A$70.5 billion and 6.52 million customers. See www.centrelink.gov.au
