Amherst, MA, United States and Verbier, Switzerland (PRWEB) July 10, 2009
On July 4, 2009, Swiss Finance Academy participants travelled from Verbier, Switzerland to Chamonix, France to observe the view from the top of Mont Blanc - the highest mountain in the Alps (4,810 m/ 15,781 ft above sea level). After a week of practicing the skills necessary to summit the investment banking world, participants had turned their sights to an equally impressive height: the Alpine peak of Mont Blanc.
After arriving in Chamonix (and briefly sampling the local delicacies) the Swiss Finance Academy group proceeded to the Aiguille du Midi - and from there, skyward. Upon stepping onto the snowy summit platform in mid-summer, many participants uttered the same reaction: "Wow." Although they had reached an altitude and vista few people ever see, this was not the first accomplishment Swiss Finance Academy participants could boast of since their arrival at Swiss Finance Academy one week prior.
This is because since Day one at Swiss Finance Academy, participants had been engaged in incisive discussion with M&A executives and their peers for up to 16 hours a day, anal;yzed countless pages from Swiss Finance Academy proprietary training materials and modules, and participated in hours of heated debate regarding topics such as the best ways to trade, manage family wealth, and value an international firm.
Ranging in age from their 20s to 40s, and hailing from nearly every continent, Swiss Finance Academy participants are a cosmopolitan, carefully screened, and highly influential group of individuals affiliated with investment banks, private equity shops, and proprietary trading franchises.
For three weeks every summer, Swiss Finance Academy opens its doors for its flagship training program - a resource for people interested in mastering real-world "know-how" about global investing and trading. Swiss Finance Academy's combination of exquisite Swiss location and international, industry-leading instructors from the United States, Europe, and Asia makes it an unmatched destination for developing one's financial and enterpreneurial skills.
Participants complete several learning module seach week on topics such as M&A modeling, global markets forecasting, and entrepreneurial investing. Each module is taught by active practitioners with expertise in their respective industries. This "in-the-trenches" perspective pervades the academic experience, and trains participants to think like industry professionals.
