Olivet, MI (PRWEB) July 11, 2009 -- FixLogix LLC introduces a new economical modular fixture system for small-medium size parts and CMMs. The fixture system streamlines the part inspection process, offering rapid development of fixtures to present parts to the CMM or portable arm measuring device. A complete system with a fixture plate and kit is introduced for $999.00 USD

New advanced fixture technology provides a hybrid t-slot fixture plate and an integrated component kit that together provide multi-axis infinite adjustability. The new fabricated t-slot plate can be produced at a fraction of the price of legacy systems. Kit components are designed for multi-functionality, further reducing the cost while providing a comprehensive solution for a wide variety of applications. The plates have laser-engraved reference scales to facilitate easy repeat setups.

The t-slot concept is borrowed from the machining industry, and is a "tried and true" method to position a part. FixLogix significant acheivement is the development of a low-cost method of producing a fabricated plate with multiple t-slots. The plates are married with components that also feature a variety of new innovations. A new self-wedging clamp design allows parts to be trapped in position with "near zero" clamp forces. This is a tremendous advantage for flexible or fragile parts that would be distorted or damaged by excessive clamp force. A series of new concepts for locating and component joining details was developed to enhance the application of t-slot technology to metrology and other light-duty fixture applications.

The fixture components cross-over with the FixLogix SEE Frame fixture for vision systems, and the FixOptix fixture modular fixture system for optical comparators. The fixtures are also being used to stage parts for laser scanners, MRI systems, portable arms, laser engraving systems, and optical bench plates.
