M-CodeOne users now have an exclusive security feature that can be used during a transaction to trigger a personal security silent alarm in connection with the financial system that, at the bank and the client's option, will allow to alert the police or immediately notify other authorities in case of needed help regarding end user's personal security.

M-CodeOne has released new software update that also offers an exclusively worldwide patented technology that includes provision for personal physical security for its mobile payment customers. By its nature CodeOne is safer than traditional credit cards transactions or other m-payment alternatives regarding the transaction authentication. M-CodeOne is based in New York and offers innovative technologies such as mobile payment and end user authentication for the commerce in general, where the payment of purchases are processed through the merchant and customer cell phones.

"Lightning kidnapping" is an all too common crime where the victim is usually kidnapped on their vehicle, and held for a short time - usually a few hours - under control of bandits. Unfortunately this type of crime is even more noticed in developing countries, mainly in large cities. The kidnappers hold the victim to use them to make purchases and cash withdrawals, using the victim's credit cards and bank drafts with checks. The typical profile of the kidnappers is male, young, between 20 and 39 years, with little skill using new technologies. The places where most people suffer these attacks are clubs and parking lots of supermarkets, and on public roads. The number of cases that occur in these locations is nearly 90%, and in 20% of cases the victim's cell phone are also taken.

The current statistics indicate that the occurrence of the "lightning kidnapping" has fallen, since the initiative of banks limiting the value of withdrawals in ATMs and the blackout, which forced banks to disconnect electronic terminals earlier. ATMs machines provide opportunities for this type of crime because many customers quite often are unprotected, with the exception of the ATMs that are inside the bank's agency, most ATM's are inside or outside a point of commerce. Recently studies indicate these types of criminal activities to present a greater potential to increase during the day; contrary to the initial pattern mostly happening in the evening before these measured adopted by the banks. The proliferation of such crimes is due to the lack of ability to secure and properly staff leisure areas with adequate security personnel. This means that people are increasingly placed devoid of any immediate security.

"M-CodeOne users have an additional security feature, which is not necessary when making normal transactions of drawing or electronic payments, however, it can be used during a transaction to trigger a silent alarm inside M-CodeOne platform in connection with the financial system", said Wilson DaSilva, M-CodeOne Latin America President. "The bank and the client have the option, for example, to alert the police with the exact location of the crime in progress, or to immediately notify other authorities", added Mr. DaSilva.

This technology is available for immediate use. Further information is available via email only.
